William "David" Morris

William "David" Morris, age 60, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born on February 16, 1964 in Nash County to G.A. Morris and Doris Pate Morris. He was preceded in death by his father and beloved canine companion, Rexy. 

He will be missed by his loving family including his wife of thirty-two years, C.B. Morris; daughters, Melinda Quintero (husband, Julian) of Holly Springs, Sheila Long (husband, James) of Spring Hope, Liz Marquis (husband, Drew) of Boston, MA and Georgia Morris (fiancé, Zach) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Amira Morris, Cora and Cullen Long; mother, Doris Morris; sister, Susan Spann of Katy, TX. He will also be missed by his dog, Ellie, and cat, Tequila; along with other extended relatives and close friends.

David was a smart, witty, hilarious, and sarcastic grill master, beer and car connoisseur, music and book lover, tool lender, joke teller and Hurricanes and Wolfpack fan. He made friends everywhere he went. He looked after his parents, was a devoted husband to C.B., and was the ultimate girl dad.

The family will host a visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 5-7pm at Lakeside Baptist Church, 1501 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Services will be private.
