Alan Robert Mitchell, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Brian Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hertford, NC. He was born on April 25, 1947 in Sacramento, California to Robert and Loraine Grant Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Childers Mitchell.

Alan is survived by his daughter, Tammy Barfield and husband, Douglas Barfield; son, Thomas Mitchell and wife, Rosemerrie; and grandchildren, Tamara, Todd, and Liam Mitchell.

The family will receive friends at the home, 908 West Main Street, Williamston, NC.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
