Albert Lee "Bubba" Surles, III, age 45, passed away shortly after midnight, Monday morning, February 17, 2020 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert L. "Big Boy" Surles, Jr. and son, Zachery Surles. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Surles; daughters, Elizabeth Nicole, Ashley Lynn, Meredith Kristin, and Kaitlin Marie Surles; mother, Geraldine Surles; brother, Chris Surles; sister, Karen Ellis (Kevin); niece and nephew, Stephen and Hillary Ellis, all of Rocky Mount, along with a host of extended relatives and family friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 22 at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 am and other times at the home of Karen Ellis. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
