Albert's journey began in Columbus County, NC on April 16, 1942. He was the definition of a hard-worker, dedicating over fifty years of his life to Barnhill Contracting Company. He was highly skilled with heavy equipment and spent much of his career as a motor grader operator doing highway construction. He gave his heart and life over to Jesus and became an ordained minister in 1995, joining the ministry leadership at Northern Boulevard Baptist Church. His heart was deeply rooted in his family and he was selflessly devoted to those he loved. Family was everything to him.
Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kimberly Prince; mother, Adell Clewis Prince; brother, Johnny Ray Prince; and sisters, Myrtle Braswell, Lorraine "Raine" Roebuck, Jeanette Brown, and Dorothy "Dot" Leonard.
He leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for his devoted daughters, Jessica Prince Smith (Bruce) and Robbie Ann Prince, all of Tarboro; four sisters, Mildred Brady of Tarboro, Clara Worrell of Colonial Heights, Va., Betty Hathaway of Tarboro, and Joan Wooten of Tarboro; and brother, Howard Prince (Starr) of Greenville. Affectionately known as "PaPa", Albert was especially proud of his grandchildren, Morgan Jones (Jason), Nicholas MacDonald, Matthew Smith, Allie Smith, and Erin Grimes, along with many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
