Obituary

Nashville – Amy Radford Barrett passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 55, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Nash County on June 20, 1970, the daughter of Benjamin and Tony Pridgen Radford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Radford.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael Barrett; children, Melissa Barrett, Michael Barrett II, Travis Hayes (Kayln), Savannah Baker (Nick), and Alexis Stallings (Tristan), and beloved sister, Regina Doss (John).

Amy will also be missed dearly by her grandchildren, Jonathan (Kelsie), Olivia (Nathan), Hannah, Nathan, Jerry, Brantley, Alaina, Sawyer, Garrison, Addie, Lawson, and Lane; four great- grandchildren; nephew, Spencer (Ashley) and niece, Connor (Richard); great-nephew, Little Ben; and devoted golden retriever, Rosie, and beloved feline, Leo.

Amy found joy in uncovering the hidden stories of the world through thrift shopping and antiquing. Gifted with a natural artistic eye, she poured her creativity into interior design, painting, and drawing. Music, especially rock 'n' roll, with Guns N' Roses holding a special place in her heart, was another passion that shaped her spirit.

Though she loved many things, the rarest and most beautiful discovery of her life was finding her soulmate in her husband, a once-in-a-lifetime love that grew deeper than anyone could have imagined, creating a bond that strengthened and enriched their years together. Above all, her greatest happiness came from the moments she shared with her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

To know Amy was to love her. Amy was a selfless, patient, compassionate, large at life woman who devoted herself to her family and those dear to her. Amy's precious spirit has touched our lives in a way that will influence us forever, leaving behind a piece of herself woven into the fabric of who we are. We will hold that piece in our hearts, always.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever." (Revelation 21:4)

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
