Arlene Whaley Howard, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2021. She was born on August 12, 1967 in Edgecombe County to Johnny Mack and Becky Conyers Whaley.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Howard, Jr. of Macclesfield; mother, Becky Conyers Grizzle and step-father, David of Oak Island, NC; children, Heather Harris Ellrod (Ben) of Macclesfield and Johnny Harris (Jenny) of Tarboro; grandchildren, Pickle and Fat Man Harris and Jackson Baker; sister, Tina Satterfield (Roddy) of Georgia; step father, Fred Towns (Sybil) of Georgia; and a host of extended relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Word of Life International Church, 3388 McNair Road, Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
