Ashton Scott Hutson, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Quincy “Alvin” Hutson and Nora Lee Hutson, and lived most of his life in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Scott’s career expertise was repairing copiers, but his passion was being creative. He loved photography, music of all kinds, restoring classic cars, putting together a wakeboarding magazine, and scouring flea markets for hidden gems of mid-century modern furnishings.

Scott is survived by his parents, Alvin Hutson of Pinetops and Nora Lee Hutson of Nashville; brothers, Shane Hutson and wife, Diana of Nashville, TN and Brian Hutson and wife, Jennifer of Nashville, NC; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Peyton, Kimberly, Wells, Daniel and Cody; along with many friends and other extended family.

A Memorial Remembrance will be held at 5:30 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior, beginning at 4:00 pm.
