Barbara C. Lariz, age 68, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born in Nash County on June 24, 1956 to Ellis and Ruby Lee Griffin Carney, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Robert K. Lariz; daughter, Crystal Coley of Battleboro; Robert's children, Jennifer Vick and Chris Lariz; siblings, Mae Walston, Dot Griffin, Patricia Jones and Ray Carney; and grandchildren, Hayden and Hannah Coley, Katelyn Rhodes, and Gabriel and Callie Vick.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
