Barbara Jean Proctor, age 59, passed away peacefully Monday, August 12, 2024 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC. She was born in Edgecombe County on March 17, 1965, the only child of Luther and Sue Proctor.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Wooten and husband, Eric; parents, Luther and Sue Proctor, all of Macclesfield; aunts, Linda and Doris; uncle, Jimmy; along with many friends and other extended relatives.

Barbara was especially proud of and adored her grandchildren, Eric Jr., Zack, Blake and Anna. A beloved mother, daughter, grandmother and friend, Barbara will be deeply missed.

A service will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Eagles Baptist Church, 184 NC-124, Macclesfield, NC 27852. Burial will immediately follow at Hales-Abrams Family Cemetery, Macclesfield. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 4:00pm.
