Benjamin "Benjie" Warren, Jr., age 55, passed away at Nash UNC Hospital early Saturday morning, March 5, 2022.

Benjie was born in Pitt County October 28, 1966 to Benjamin "Bennie" and Wilma Webb Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Mary D. Warren, and Raymond and Gladys Lewis Webb; and aunts and uncles, Annie Ruth Hyde, Alice Warren Scott, Allen Ray Webb, Sr., Ronnie Warren, and Arthur Warren.

A large circle of extended family and close friends gave Benjie a lifetime of cherished memories. He was blessed to have his life partner of 27 years, Lorie Greene, who loved him deeply and was devoted to his every need. He will also be missed by his half-sister, Allison Warren of Milford, CT; aunts and uncles, Glenda Webb Hine (Wayne) of Tarboro, Amy Jean Warren Dixon of Scotland Neck, Gene Webb (Beatrice) of Monroe, NC, and Ray Warren of Tarboro; cousins, Pam Rogers (Ken), Joey Lewis, Kenneth Webb, Cynthia Webb Braden, and Travis Dillon Webb; "mother-in-law", Jean Greene; his three fur babies, Scruffy, Charlie, and Gibson; along with many special friends including Dale Riddick, Darin "Dang-Dang" Gurganus, and Mike Young.

A Celebration of Benjie's Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Penders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3246 Howard Ave. Ext., Tarboro, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
