Beulah Johnson "Mammie" Scott, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was born on December 29, 1936 in Edgecombe County to Russell and Evelyn Price Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Scott; infant child, Mary Leigh Scott; and brother, Russell Johnson, Jr.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her children, Ernest Scott, Jr. (Melinda) of Macclesfield, James "Willie" Scott (Phyllis) of Lucama, and Janice Scott of Black Creek; grandchildren, Dana Scott Gill (Chris) of Wilson, Rusty Scott (Erin) of Macclesfield, Ricky Shadding of Black Creek, Joshua Scott of Greensboro, Renee' Jett (Steve) of Bailey, and Jennifer Webb of Kenly; great-grandchildren, Blake Scott, Macyn Gill, Aiden and Riley Shadding, Abigail Riley, and Alyssa and Cole Jett; siblings, Sam Johnson (Mary), Raymond Johnson (Cherry), Charlie Johnson (Theresa), Pat Coghill (Sonny), and Judy Johnson; and special friends, Allison, Melissa, and Brenda.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the St. Lewis Ruritan Club, 6787 NC 42 W, Macclesfield, NC 27852. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Family Cemetery,  2989 North Bowers Road, Hobgood, NC 27843 with Pastor Johnny Hendricks officiating.
