Bobby Dean Joyner, 67, passed away on June 22, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1958, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, to Janet Gardner and Bob Joyner.
Bobby was a talented carpenter and builder whose skill, dedication, and craftsmanship were evident in everything he did. He took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge with others. Throughout his life, he helped and taught many people, leaving a lasting impression through his generosity, patience, and wisdom.
An avid outdoorsman, Bobby was a skilled fisherman who found peace and enjoyment on the water. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan who loved following the sport and cheering on his favorite drivers. Whether working with his hands, spending time fishing, or enjoying a race, Bobby embraced life with enthusiasm and determination.
Bobby is survived by his children, Amanda Joyner, Jeremy Joyner, and Bradley Walker; daughter-in-law, Farron Walker; his grandchildren, Savannah Ayers, Riverlyn Walker, Lakelyn Walker, and Stetson Walker; his siblings, Tony Joyner and Pam Hinton; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet Gardner and Bob Joyner.
Bobby will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, willingness to help others, and the knowledge he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave to his family and friends.
The family will host a Celebration of Life to honor Bobby on August 18, 2026, what would have been his 68th birthday. The location and additional details will be announced at a later date.
