Bobby D. Jackson, age 81, passed away at his home Thursday afternoon, March 3, 2022.

Bobby was born in Nash County, NC March 26, 1940 to George and Flossie Moore Jackson. He was a proud veteran having served honorably with the United States Army and later retired as Train Master from a longtime career with CSX Railroad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steven Christopher Jackson; and siblings, Murdock Jackson, George M. Jackson, Eva Louise Jackson, Clifford Spikes, and Horace "Tommy" Spikes.

He leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for his wife of sixty years, Connie Knight Jackson; daughter, Ashley Jackson Edmondson and husband, Shelton of Atlantic Beach; granddaughters, Caroline, Taylor, and Claire Edmondson; and his faithful canine companion, Bella, who was always by his side; along with many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church St., Rocky Mount, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at Bobby and Connie's home.
