Bobby Ray Lewis, III, age 31, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. He was born in Pitt County on August 1, 1990. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rex Robbins; uncle, Billy Gardner; and great-grandmother, Fannie Robbins.

He is survived by his daughter, Lillie Lewis of Rocky Mount; parents, Mary and Rodney Caudle; siblings, Whittney Robbins, Shana Robbins, Alexis Davis, Kaneisha Davis, Leah Davis, and Charles Applewhite, Jr., all of Rocky Mount; step-brother, Ty'keerein Ford; uncles, Allen Robbins and David Robbins; aunts, Tracey Robbins and Casey Robbins; paternal grandmother, Billie Robbins of Rocky Mount; maternal grandmother, Lou Ann Wester; special cousins, Jeremy Joyner and Ryan Joyner; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bobby loved is family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a mama's boy and loved bon-fires which is how he got the nickname "Backwoodz". He loved construction work, making everyone smile, and was the life of the party. To know Bobby is to love Bobby!

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
