Brenda Brantley Gay, age 70, left pain and suffering to enter Heaven's rest on Monday, June 27, 2022.  Born in Nash County, NC on September 16, 1951, she was the daughter of William Ernie Brantley and Dorothy Hughes Brantley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Wayne Gay.

Brenda graduated from Northern Nash High School and attended Pitt Community College.  She was a devoted homemaker known for her excellent cooking, preserving, and baking skills. The family enjoyed her breads at every celebration.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Lee Gay of the home; her sister, Carolyn Brantley Grantham (Tony) of Littleton; her niece, Josie Jones (Artie) and her great nephew, Anthony Jones of Roanoke Rapids.  She will also be especially missed by her "Brantley Cousins" Linda, Barbara, and Beverly and her "Mills Cousins" Donald, Randy, and Sherry.

The family will host a Celebration of Life service on  Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 3:00pm at the home of Wayne Gay.
