Brenda McLeod

Brenda Eure McLeod, age 80, passed away peacefully at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC, on October 10, 2026. She was born in Edgecombe County on January 25, 1946, to Woodrow and Ethel Turner Eure.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jacob Lynn Collie, and her grandson, Jacob Matthew Collie.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted husband of sixty-four years, Eugene Conrad McLeod; daughters, Darlene McLeod Kassner (Sidney) of Sharpsburg and Kelly McLeod Collie of Louisburg; brother, Barry Eure (Dianne) of Tennessee; niece and nephew, Tammy Eure and Matthew Eure; cousin, Cindy Joyner of Scotland Neck; grandchildren, Jaclyn Collie Wachowicz (Cassidy Wagner), Jacob Conrad Collie (Victoria), Meggon Kassner, Devon Kassner, Ella Kassner, Sara Bakerman, and Makayla Bakerman; and great-grandchildren, Joshua “Roan” Wachowicz Jr., Harley Wachowicz, William Wachowicz, Jacob Wachowicz, Sydney Harris-Collie, Greyson Collie, and Eleanor Collie.

She was affectionately known as “Nana,” a name that represented the love, warmth, and special place she held in the hearts of those closest to her. She will be deeply cherished and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation and a time of sharing on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
