Bridget Lancaster Williams, age 49, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. She was born on September 26, 1971 in Nash County, North Carolina. She loved spending time with her family, especially her sons, Mike and Zack. She savored the beauty of God's creation when she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and walking on the beach. She also loved animals, being particularly fond of dolphins, cats, and chickens. Bridget had a gentle and loving soul that was easily soothed with just the right music.
Bridget was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Finnie, Sr. and Mildred Cherry; paternal grandparents, Warren and Minnie "Eva" Lancaster; paternal aunts, Mary Ann Lancaster and Linda B. Lancaster; and paternal uncle, R.W. Lancaster, III.
She was deeply loved by her sons, Alex Michael Sykes of Rocky Mount and Zackery Jake Williams (Tiffany) of Greenville; mother, Ruby Cherry Lancaster (Jimmy Wood) of Elm City; father, James Ray Lancaster, Sr. (Nancy) of Elm City; sister, Regina Rhodes (Robin) of Elm City; brother, Jamie Lancaster (Bethany) of Rocky Mount; step-siblings, Mark Saunders (Robin), Lori Barkley (Will),Tracy Shearin (Greg), and Donna Wood; nieces and nephews, Kacie and Kameron Rhodes, Michael, Mason, and Myleigh Boyd, Jayden Lancaster, Taytum Rogers, and Amber Lynch (Ed); greatnephews, Junior and Bryceson Lynch; and great-niece, Alainna Jones. She will also be missed by numerous special cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends.
The family will host a Memorial Celebration of Life at 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Temperance Hall United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dennis Pulliam officiating. They will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial gifts to Temeperance Hall UMC, PO Box 13, Pinetops, NC 27864.
