Bruce Wood Mizelle Morris, age 88, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Her journey began June 6, 1935 in Wake County, North Carolina, daughter of Eddison and Virginia Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jim Mizelle, II; brother, Tommy Wood and close family friend, Audrey Craig.

She leaves a lifetime of memories for her children, Ginger Griffin (Randy) of Zebulon and Eddie Mizelle (Genia) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Cortney Amelia Salmon (Chris) of Richmond, Va, Jimmy Mizelle, III of Nashville, Will Mizelle of Raleigh, John Scott Mizelle of Spring Hope and Thomas "T-Man" Mizelle (Hannah) of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Aubrey and Maverick Salmon; niece, Jessica Wood (Alisha Woodruff); along with several cousins and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 1:00PM at NorthSide Church, 1660 Beaver Pond Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00PM.
