Carol H. Kelly, age 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was born in Edgecombe County on February 18, 1955 to Norman and Lucy Edmondson Harmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Kelly.

She is survived by her sons, David M. Batts and wife, Erin of Black Creek and John Lee of Battleboro; daughter, Amanda Cardenas and husband, Mario of Rocky Mount; brother, Albert Harmon of Greenville; sister, Betty Jean Harmon; and grandchildren, Logan Batts, Tavis Batts, Drucilla Batts, Riley Batts, Destiny Lee, and Carlos Cardenas.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
