Carolyn Nadine Keel, age 82, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, July 22, 2023. She was born on July 10, 1941 to John Harvey and Mary Frances Ayscue Wester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rex Keel Sr. and her siblings: June Wester, Mary Rapoza, Derwood Wester, Rachel Newcomb, Richard Wester, and Johnny Wester.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Keel (Mark Blaylock); son, Lynn Keel; sisters Sandra Boseman and Linda Tippette; friends who are considered family, Katina and Nate Johnston; and grandchildren: Max Keel, Joshua King, Caleb King, and Gracen Johnston.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 10:00am at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4464 Dortches Boulevard, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
