Carolyn Williams, age 73, passed away Tuesday evening, October 11, 2022 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born in Nash County on May 27, 1949 as the first child born to Julious and Minnie Proctor Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dan Nichols and mother-in-law, Madge Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Bruce Williams; sons, Ronald Nichols of New Bern and Joey Nichols of Rocky Mount; daughter, Wanda Williams Webb and husband, Joe of Rocky Mount; brothers, John Griffin and wife, Kay of Texas, Carl Griffin of Franklin and Roger Griffin of Rocky Mount; sister, Debbie Trexler of New Jersey; grandchildren, Cierra Webb, Carli Webb, Dillon West, and Zander Todd; as well as her loyal canine companions, Doogie and Bella.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 17, 2020, 11:00 AM, at Memorial Baptist Church, 5399 Old Wilson Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
