Christopher "Chris" Andrew Winstead, age 64, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, NC. He was born on November 10, 1957 in Nash County to James David and Jewel Bone Winstead. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Bone Winstead and sister, Debra Winstead Medlin.

He leaves behind a loving family including his children, Michelle Harper (Wayne), Kristen Bennett (Jamie), and Caitlin Winstead (Mason Harrison); father, James David Winstead (Gladys); grandchildren, Cameron, Matthew, Brodie, Jayden, Mason, and Reagan; step-grandchildren, Tater and Gracie; brothers, Al Winstead (Sue) and Ross Winstead (Donna).

A service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Morton Presbyterian Church, 6605 W Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:30 PM prior to the service and at other times at the home of David Winstead, 9116 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to James David Winstead, PO Box 8862, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 to help with funeral expenses.
