Shelby -

Clifton Martin Jenkins, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born on May 4, 1937 in Halifax County to Curtis and Sallie Newsome Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Jenkins; granddaughter, Christie Stewart; and three brothers.

He is survived by his children, Rita Stewart (Steve) of Shelby, Susan Miller (Tim) of Rocky Mount, and Donna Patterson (Kyle) of Rocky Mount; sister, Margie Isles of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Sharon Andrews of Shelby, Cameron, Joshua, Ben, and Sam Patterson, all of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren, William and Bethany Andrews and Layton Patterson.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
