Whitakers -

Connie Lynn Steppes, age 80, passed away  Monday, June 9, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Maryville, Missouri on April 6, 1945 to Evelyn and Carl Perry, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Cavin Cox and wife, Sue of New Market, Iowa; daughter, Pamela Lassiter and husband, Paul of Whitakers, NC; sister, Kathy; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three nieces.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
