Cynthia "Cindy" Williams Summerlin, age 61, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born on December 31, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia to James and Tessie Bullock Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-son, Jamie Summerlin.

She is survived by her fiancé and long time companion, Bobby Dean Summerlin; children, David Bass (Tammy Walston) of Wilson, Niki Bass (Thomas Millwood), Chad Batten (Nicole), all of Rocky Mount, Devin Bass and Deana Summerlin, both of Elm City. Cindy will also be dearly missed by her brother, James "Robbie" Williams, Jr. (Melinda) of Rocky Mount; best-friend, Christy Woodard of Wilson and several grandchildren.

The family will host a memorial service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Temperance Hall Church, 3834 Temperance Hall Rd, Elm City, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Temperance Hall Church.
