Daniel L. Nichols, age 48, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. He was born September 21, 1970 in Hampton, Virginia and is survived by his parents, Carolyn and Bruce Williams; wife of twenty-six years, Jo Ellen Nichols; brothers, Ronald and Joseph Nichols; step-sister, Wanda Webb and her husband, Joe and their children, Dillon, Cierra, and Carli; nephew, Zander Todd McCormick; uncles, Carl and Roger Griffin; aunt, Debbie Trevler; along with a host of friends and extended relatives.

Daniel was a pipe fitter for over thirty-two years. He loved the outdoors and especially camping and boating with his wife and dogs. He was happiest when he was fishing and spending time with good friends.

A memorial service to remember his life will take place at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Memorial Baptist Church, 5399 Old Wilson Rd., Rocky Mount. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Memorial Baptist Church.
