David Allen Denton, age 63, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at his home in Tarboro, North Carolina.

He was born March 13, 1960 in Edgecombe County to Robert and Edith Warren Denton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Denton and brother, Raymond King. David was employed the past several years with Johnson Controls - ASC of Tarboro. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and watching wrestling. He loved his family and was grateful for the time spent with them. He kept his circle small and appreciated the care and concern shown by his sisters, brothers, friends and other family members. He was an important part of his family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his siblings, Robert Denton, Jr. of Tarboro, Harold Denton (Teresa) of Crisp, Donald King, Lois Williams, and Edith Scott, all of Tarboro; special niece, Tiffany Denton of Rocky Mount; along with several other nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A private memorial will take place at a later date.
