David Ray Young, born June 28, 1953 went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan William Young and Edith Mae Gupton Young and infant sister, Lisa Dianne Young.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Bonnie Ashworth Young; sister,   Patsy Young Walker (Larry) of Spring Hope; daughter Pamela Young O'Neal (Allen) of Garner; son, David Thomas Young (Katie) of Cary; stepson, Shannon Wallace Seagroves (Tammy) of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Polly Davis(Jim) and Rita Carroll (Jack); niece, Tara Jo Walker of Spring Hope; nephew, Adam Lewis Walker (Kathy) of Raleigh; great-nephew, Levi Alton Walker.

Ray was a proud grandpa to five grandchildren: Tyler Seagroves, Dylan Seagroves, Faith Seagroves, Brett Blalock and Brady Blalock. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

Please join family and friends for a walk through visitation at Wise Baptist Church on Sunday, September 13, 2020, from 2pm-3pm and service will follow Immediately in the church sanctuary at 3pm.
