Dennis Lee Lewis, age 62, passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie W. "Bubba" Lewis, II and sister, Beverly Lewis Hyman. He leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for his beloved wife of almost twenty-four years, Cindy Burris Lewis; parents, Charlie and Miriam Lewis of Tarboro; nephews, Brock, Chuck, and Lance Lewis, and Austin Hyman; goddaughter, Christian Lamm; in-laws, Beverly Burris of Tarboro and Stanley Burris (Marty) of Southport; along with many family friends and other extended relatives.

A Celebration of Dennis' Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, March 25, 2022 at Northern Blvd Baptist Church, Tarboro. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm, also at the church, and other times at the home. In keeping with Dennis' laid back and easy going personality, friends are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably.
