Diane Ahlberg

Diane Bespolka Ahlberg, age 73, of Washington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 18, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Diane was the beloved daughter of Elliot and Olga Bespolka Sr. She was known for her unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, deeply caring heart, and bold spirit. Diane had a passion for landscaping, interior design, and gardening, creating beauty wherever she went.

Diane was the caregiver everyone counted on. She went to great lengths whether family, friends, or neighbors needed support she made herself available. Above all, she was a devoted wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.

Diane is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Walter "Wally" Eric Ahlberg III; her son, Walter Eric Ahlberg IV; her daughter, Cortney Ahlberg Napior, and son-in-law, Mike Napior; her beloved granddaughters, Emerson and Sophie Napior; and many cherished extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliot and Olga Bespolka Sr.; her brother, Elliot Bespolka Jr.; and her sisters, Patricia Bespolka and Carol Bespolka.

Diane's strength, generosity, and unconditional love touched countless lives. Her legacy will live on through the family she loved so deeply and the many people whose lives were made better simply because they knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
