Donald Bailey, age 73, passed away peacefully January 12, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 4, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father Jack, mother Mavis, brother Jackie, and son-in-law James Burchette. He is survived by his wife Sandra; sons, Joey and Scott; daughter, Misty; daughters-in-law, Amy and Shawn; grandchildren, Tori and husband Trey, Tyler, Mady; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Landon; granddog, Billy Boy Johnson; brothers, Dennis and wife Brenda, Gerald and wife Joyce, Wayne and wife Ellen, Danny Ray; sister, Ann and husband Randall; sister-in-law, Phyllis, and many nephews and nieces.

Donald was a proud Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, earning a purple heart.  He was a simple man.  He enjoyed playing racing games on his PlayStation 4, sculpting, photography, model cars, and as all the family would agree joining in on a spirited debate.

We welcome you to join us Saturday, January 21, 2023, at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, North Carolina from 2pm - 4pm, with military honors ceremony beginning at 3pm.  The family requests casual dress.
