Donald Hill, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025. He was born on August 11, 1947, in Edenton, North Carolina to Rudolph and Virgie Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dianne and Carolyn.

He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Betty Hill; children, Donna Salmons (Wade) and Greg Hill; grandchildren, Melody, Kayla, Lyndy, Sarah, Yahnathan, Cameron, Karah, Peyton and four great-grandchildren.

Donald proudly served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and later worked grocery and retail up until his retirement. Donald was a man of deep faith with a big heart and touched the lives of many. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Donald will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Highland Memorial Gardens, 109 Ward Road, Ahoskie, NC 27910.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any hospice organization of your choice.
