Mr. Donald Mobley, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023. A simple man, with love for coffee, crosswords, and westerns served his country as part of the 30th Brigade of the National Guard for 9 years. He was a hardworking man, who after his years in the National Guard, worked for Longs for 29 years. He will be greatly missed.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; children, Joy and Scott (Kristen), grandchildren; Samantha, Tonya, Tonia (Lee), Jarratt (Taylor), Destiny, Brayden, McKenlee, Rayleigh, Ryleigh, Scarlett and Olive, great-grandchildren; Gage, Peyton, Anders, Wyatt, Bristol, Jay and Leland. Also survived by three brothers, Kenneth (Kathy), Ronald "Boot" (Vicki), and Randy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mattie Mobley, brother, Dallas Mobley, sisters Joyce Wiggins and Carolyn Daniels, Daughter-in-law, Teresa Summerlin-Mobley, and favorite pet, Boo Boo.

Family and friends will gather for a special Time of Remembrance from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 24 at The United Church of Jesus Christ, 921 US 64 Alt East, Tarboro, NC 27886.
