Rocky Mount –

Dorothy "Dot" Taylor Parrish, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, October 19, 2024, at her home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born on July 7, 1933, in Nash County to Otha Thomas and Lizzie Southerland Taylor. In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Parrish, Jr.; son, Steve Parrish and brother, James T. Taylor.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Gail Pinkham of Rocky Mount; son, Harold Roberson "Rob" Parrish (Jill) of Wake Forest; brother, Robert T. Taylor (Patsy) of Wilmington; daughter-in-law, Gail T. Parrish of Nashville; grandchildren, Stephanie Parrish, Victoria Parrish, Reagan Parrish, Ben Pinkham and Ashlyn Jo Bulluck-Ghiloni; great-grandchildren, Jayden Parrish, and Sydney and Caroline Ghiloni; sisters-in-law, Evelynn R. Taylor of Chesterfield, VA, and Ann P. Rose of Elon; along with many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

A service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 505 S Englewood Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm.
