Rufus Earl Pollard, age 60, passed away Thursday morning, January 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Albert, Jr. and Dorothy Brown Pollard; and sister, Carolyn Pollard Balmer.

Earl is survived by a loving family that includes his brothers, Mark Pollard, III and wife, Jennie of Pinetops, Gene Pollard and wife, Kathy of Wilson, James Pollard, and Ben Pollard and wife, Sheila of Macclesfield. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews; special friends, Dennie and Jeff Crisp and Chris Leatherwood and many family friends and extended relatives.

A Celebration of Earl's Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 5 at Sunset Church of God, 1709 Anaconda Rd., Tarboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm, and other times at the home of Ben and Shelia Pollard.
