Edna Beamon Thigpen, age 92, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1931 in Wilson, North Carolina to Alonzo and Delzell Cook Beamon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Cleveland Thigpen and daughter, Paula Thigpen.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Thigpen (Bernedett) of Tarboro; brothers, Luther Reason, Jr (Tiny) of Macclesfield and Douglas Reason (Betty) of Swansboro; sisters, Alma Finch of Bailey and Trudy Lamb of Macclesfield; grandchildren, Coty Edwards, Meredith Thigpen, and Justin Thigpen; great-grandsons, Damien and Spencer Edwards; step-granddaughters, Stacy Stewart (Brian) and Reva Coker; step-great-grandchildren, Kadence Godwin and Kinley Housand; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
