Edwin Randall "Randy" Reid, age 59, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born in Nash County on September 13, 1965 to Edwin and Julia Reid. He was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Johnson Reid.

He is survived by his sons, Edwin Randall Reid, Jr. (Samantha Johnson) and Jackson Reid (Amber Godwin), all of Whitakers; father, Edwin Willis Reid, also of Whitakers; sister, Whitney Reid Herbert; and grandchildren, Lily Grace and Maverick Boyce and their mother, Madison Lamprecht.

Randy will also be missed by his "brother by another mother", Dennis "Punk" King; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1703 Reges Store Road, Nashville, NC 27856.  The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm.
