Effie Lee Bryant Joyner, age 87, passed away Monday night, March 23, 2020.

She was born November 11, 1932 in Nash County to Wade and Margaret M. Bryant.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Bryant  She leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for her sons, Carlton Pullen (Karon) and Kenneth Pullen (Jewell), all of Nashville; sisters, Nell Vick and Rachael Gardner (I.B.); four grandchildren, Douglas Pullen (Erin), Brian Pullen (Melissa), Travis Pullen (Karin), and Ashley Redman (David); five great-grandchildren, Austin, James, Landon, Jacob, and Kyleigh;  along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A graveside celebration of Effie's life will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 27, 2020 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Blvd., Rocky Mount. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
