Nashville -

Elbert Glenn Connie, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was born in Nash County on February 12, 1951 to Leslie and Lucille Griffin Connie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Rackley Connie; sisters, Jean Radford, Dorothy Melton, Edna "Pete" Nelms, Margorie "Margie" Bryant, and Elizabeth "Libby" Smith; and brothers, Milton, Donald, and Bobbie Connie.

His memory is left to be cherished by his son, Glenn Connie (Sheri) of Nashville; daughter, Christine Manning of Bonne Terre, Missouri; grandchildren, Kayla Dalton (Taylor), Emily Connie, Kessler Crickmore, and Holden Crickmore, all of Nashville; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Dalton and Ansley Dalton. He will also be dearly missed by special friends, Truette and Linda Bryant; his grandchildren's mother, Amy Connie; special nieces, Gina, Tampa, and Amy; special nephews, JT and Keith; and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
