Ernest Daniel Moore, age 72, passed away at Nash UNC Hospital on Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Moore.

Ernest is survived by his brother, James Moore of Rocky Mount; his children, Sherrie Moore of Garner, Karen Driver (Keith) of Rocky Mount, and Stephen Moore of Nashville; his grandchildren, Katie and Jacob Driver; and his great-grandchild, Kaihler Hawkins.

Ernest served proudly in the United States Airforce and worked as a mail carrier and clerk for the postal service. After retirement, he worked for ten years at H&R Block. He loved his cats, Jethro, Bubba, and Rascal, watched Carolina basketball every chance he could, and loved celebrating Christmas. He will be missed dearly by his relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at The Church of God at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1 p.m.. The family will greet friends directly following.
