In that quiet moment perfectly planned by her Lord and Savior, Florence Carpenter "Frog" Webb was called home Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024 to that wonderful place where she has a mansion of her own. She was born on March 19, 1940 to Richard and Amanda Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Leslie Webb and sons, Frank Webb and Lester Webb.

She leaves a lifetime of loving memories for her son, Bruce Webb (JoElla); daughters, Teressa Bass (Ronnie) and Donna Adkins (Ricky); daughter-in-law, Brenda Webb and many other extended nieces, nephews and family friends.

Frog was a loving granny to her grandchildren, Sharon Webb, Amy Trull (Josh), Thomas Webb, Leslie Bryant (Charles), Frank Jones, Brandy Smith, Travis Braswell, Joshua Adkins and Candace Adkins and great-granny to Connor and Jayson Bell, Jaden Bryant, Coraline, Alexander and Thomas Webb, Jr., Kyle and Owen Trull, Linkin and Asher Braswell and Allison, Kelly, McKenzie and Hollyn Smith.

Frog was a devoted Christian and above all else was a true child of God. She praised her Lord by faithfully going to church, reading her Bible, and singing her old-time gospel hymns.

A dedicated employee, she worked hard all her life to help make sure she had the means to spoil her grandchildren. A life centered around her family, she also enjoyed the holidays when everyone would get together and cook and eat in peace and harmony. Though all holidays spent with her family around the table were special, her favorite holiday was Christmas. Before her decline, she requested that her Christmas tree be put up so she could see the lights.

She was a loving mother, granny, great-granny and loved to be around people and share her love. She had one main hobby other than family and that was her oil painting.

Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 9 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm and other times at the home.
