Frances “Kitty” Amerson Mink, age 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 11, 2026. Her journey began in Edgecombe County on September 17, 1948, the only daughter born to Warren and Ida Gupton Amerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, David Amerson and Walter Amerson.

She is survived by her children, Denise Love and husband, Allen, Regina Eason and husband, James, all of Rocky Mount and Chris Williams and wife, Farrah of Fremont; grandchildren, Ashley, Kristie, Brandie, Brittany, Christian and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Kaleb, Sophie, Luke, Kolton and Nathaniel and close friend, Cathy Richardson of Rocky Mount. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law, Cindy Amerson who was a dear friend and special caregiver. 

A special note of thanks is extended to the Gentiva Hospice staff for their amazing care and attention when we needed it most.
