Spring Hope -

John Frank Steed, age 57, fondly known by friends and family as "Frankie", passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023.  He was born May 28, 1966  in Charlotte, NC to John W. and Barbara B. Steed. He grew to become a loving son, doting father, and devoted husband. Frankie was known to be a friend to all....people and animals alike; his heart deeply and genuinely loved and appreciated all life created by God. Above all else, he loved his Lord and strived to live his life in accordance to His Word, exemplifying the fruits of the spirit and honoring his Savior.

Through the years, many lives have been touched by Frankie's love, kindness, and selflessness. He had a warm and gentle spirit that made him a true friend who will be greatly missed by so many.

He leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for his beloved wife, Melody; daughter, Melyssa Wiggins (Shane) of Franklinton; mother, Barbara Shearin of Castalia; father, John Steed (Margie) of Charlotte; brother, Harlen Steed (Lisa) of Nashville; sister, Tonja Philbeck (Travis) of Castalia; grandchildren, Alex Wall and Scarlett Wiggins; step-brothers, Jeff Carpenter of Charlotte and Brian Carpenter (Annette) of Salisbury; his precious companion, Oreo; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.  Frankie was preceded in death by stepfathers, George Shearin and L B Mayhall.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Church of God, 606 South Clark Street, Nashville, NC with Pastor Stanley Gaskins and Pastor Mark Bateman officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service and other times at the home.
