Wilson -

Fred James Scott, Sr., 83, passed on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Accordius Health Care in Wilson. He was born on July 21, 1937 to Henry and Maddie Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mack Scott and sisters, Lillian Jones and Christine Scott.

He is survived by his children, Tammy Scott of Tarboro, Johnnie Long (David) of Leggett, and Fred Scott Jr. (Rachel) of Red Oak; siblings, John Scott of Wilson, Huddie, George, James, Danny and Bessie Scott, all of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Wilbur Meeks, Jr., Christopher Meeks, Jonathan Casper, Sabrina, Kody, Riley, Adylin, and Fred Scott, III; great-grandchildren, Austin, Sebastian, Isabella, and Lydia Meeks, Damien and Savanah Pridgen, along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the home of Johnnie and David Long, 7689 NC Hwy 33 NW, Tarboro, NC.
