Gladys Joanne Weeks, lovingly known as "Joanne," peacefully passed away on the morning of January 6, 2025, at the age of 74.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Hilton Weeks and Gladys Burgess Weeks; husband, Randy Narron and her beloved grandson, Terry Lee Williams. She is survived by her son, Randall Weeks (Kim); former daughter-in-law, Tonya Thorne (Terry); brother, Joseph Weeks, Jr.; sister, Mary Lee (John); grandchildren, Chelsea Godwin (Matt), Christopher Devers, Scott Weeks (Haley); and bonus grandchildren, Brenda Strader, Ethan Thorne, Harley Parker, and Katelyn Parker. Joanne also leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Joanne dedicated 45 years to her career at the Carolina Telephone Company. She was widely admired for her generous spirit, boundless love, and unwavering kindness. Joanne's warmth extended to her neighbors at Braswell Woods Circle, where she was affectionately called "Grandma Weeks" by all who knew her.

Joanne loved spending time with her family, especially on vacations to White Lake and Ocracoke. She enjoyed relaxing with Lifetime movies, babysitting her grandchildren, and creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Joanne's life was deeply rooted in her faith. She found strength and joy in her relationship with Jesus, and she lived as a true embodiment of the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Her faith was evident in her daily actions and her unwavering devotion to those around her.

Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A service to celebrate and remember her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2025 at RiverBend Church, 9853, NC-97, Rocky Mount, NC 27803. The family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service.
