Glenda "Mama G" Whichard Bedard, age 53, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, March 1, 2023. She was born in Hopewell, Virginia on January 23, 1970. She was raised by her beloved grandparents, Lula Mae and William "Teeny" Whichard, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband, Hubert Bedard; sons, Grant Lee and William John Whichard; beloved feline companion, Frenchie; along with many extended relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2PM at Merritts Chapel Church of Oak City, 5333 NC 125, Oak City, NC 27857. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1PM.
