Gordon "Gordie" Whitehurst, age 60, passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Dickens Foster, and sister, Martha Braswell. He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer W. Williamson (Brad) of Dunn, Susan Williams (Nick) of Tarboro, and Christina Whitehurst of Rocky Mount; his father, Gordon K. Whitehurst of Rocky Mount; siblings, Rebecca "Becky" Phelps (Kenny Tyndall) of Rocky Mount, Greg Whitehurst (Sheryl) of Fuquay-Varina, Robert Whitehurst (Julie), and Scott Whitehurst, all of Rocky Mount. He also leaves fifteen grandchildren: Jonathan, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Lydia, Hannah, and David Williamson; Nathan and Kenzi Cobb; Keileigh, Zane, and Ada Williams; Cindell and Emerson Watson; and Devin, Miranda, and Landen Murray; special friend, Gloria Boykin and many family friends and extended relatives.

The family will gather for a special time of remembrance and fellowship 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Oakdale Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 13037 US 64-Alt, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
