Harold Francis "Sonny" Furstenberg, age 74, passed away peacefully in his home, Saturday, March 25, 2023. His journey began on December 21, 1948, in Paris, Arkansas, son of Harold and Rosemary Kearney Furstenberg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Sakolsky.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Hollis Furstenberg; siblings, Jody Jackson of Ayden, Ted Furstenberg of Ayden, Cathy Bell of Effingham, SC, Alfie Blanford of Greenville and Tommie Apgar of Greensboro; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sonny served honorably in the United States Navy for four years aboard the USS America. After his service, he pursued a career in electrical work, eventually retiring from Williamston Yarn Mill. In his free time, Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice Service for their attention and care during this time as well as family, Facebook friends, and Christian Chapel Church of Christ for their continued love and support.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.
