Rocky Mount -

Haywood W. Dawson, Jr., age 78, passed away on November 8, 2020, at his home in Rocky Mount, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood W. Dawson and Lela Mae Denson Dawson, and an infant daughter, Cheryl Lynne. He is survived by his son, Steven; daughter, Leigh;  sister, Jan; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Gaston Lake where he spent much of his time.
