Helen Parrish Wages, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at The Gardens of Nashville. She was born on October 3, 1942 to Ralph and Virginia Daniel Parrish in Halifax County, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Iola Sanderford and brother, William "Bud" Parrish.

She is survived by her children, Denise Jennings (Dan) of Rocky Mount, Deborah Balmer of Rocky Mount, Bonnie Kruk (Don) of Roanoke Rapids, Linda Dickens of Roanoke Rapids, David Hinkle of Virginia, and Max Hinkle of Roanoke Rapids; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
